ICON Group participates of its community life. It’s been a partner of “Bairro da Juventude”, an institution of Criciúma, Santa Catarina which assists more than a thousand children and teenagers, providing access to education and citizenship.

Every semester ICON opens its doors to students that are taking basic level professional courses at “Bairro da Juventude". These students become part of ICON team for a period. They learn a profession and get prepared for the work market. The best ones may be hired by the group.

ICON also offers opportunities to trainees from technical schools and colleges like SATC (a charity association of the coal industry of Santa Catarina), a school that’s recognized in the state for forming professionals required by the market.
